Rushing (either walking or running) to the train stations; waiting patiently for the trains; boarding the trains; either standing or sitting in the trains; getting off the trains, walking to respective destinations... have become a daily routine for many Japanese. However, this daily habit has helped to cultivate a strong culture in exercising through daily walking. And I believe one of the secrets to Japanese longevity is their daily walking.
