Takamori in Kumamoto Prefecture has only around 6,000 people. I must thank the bus driver for stopping at Takamori town area on the way to Takachiho Gorge from Kumamoto City. Otherwise, I would not have discovered this charming little town tucked in the middle of nowhere. 

The moment I stepped down from the bus, I was welcomed with beautiful spring flowers on the green field. Seeing the local with her dog, and the hearing the school children's laughter's bursting through the clean fresh air, I felt as if I was in a nature paradise.
