So many hands - theme song for 29th Southeast Asian Games Kuala Lumpur 2017

I first heard of this inspirational song "So Many Hands" performed by talented artist Mia Palencia during the opening ceremony of 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Kuala Lumpur 2017 held at KL Sports City's Bukit Jalil National Stadium on August 19, 2017.

It has been 10 days but the song still sticks to my mind in the midst of having all the talented Southeast Asian athletes competing in Kuala Lumpur.

This inspirational song is dedicated to all the people behind the scenes - the coaches, the teachers, the mothers, the fathers, the mentors, the enablers - anyone who contributed in any way big or small, to create a sport champion!

Before the closing ceremony of 2017 Southeast Asian Games Kuala Lumpur 2017 to be held tomorrow on Aug 30, 2017, I would like to use this song to remember this wonderful sport event in Southeast Asia for many years to come.

I hope you are inspired too through this theme song.

Hear...
At the edge of the morning
A nation is rising
And we see the fight

Hear...
At the edge of the morning
The shadow is fading
And I see the light
Hmm... hmm...

Hear...
We just like a river
Tradition runs deep and future unclear
As the whole world is watching
Voices are singing
Does anyone hear?

Ohh... Ohh...
I want to be stronger
I want to burn brighter than I ever be
I want to be braver
I want to stand tough for all I believe

And we'll rise together
And there to be better than we ever dreamed

So many hands
So many hands
Carry me

Bersama kita membina
Bersama kita membara
Bersama kita bersuara
Bersama

Bersama kita membina
Bersama kita membara
Bersama kita bersuara
Bersama

I want to be stronger
I want to burn brighter than I ever be
I want to be braver
I want to stand tough for all I believe

And we'll rise together
And there to be better than we ever dreamed
So many hands
So many hands
So many hands
So many hands
Carry me
Hmmm... Hmmm...

Hear
At the end of a journey
I look behind me
And what will I see?
