Why this quote?

In running, occasionally I give excuses for not pushing harder or not running the extra km.

Tired; lack of sleep; no strength, and all sorts of excuses.

But usually after not giving my best, I regret.

Since I started running in 2010, I have been putting all my finisher medals in my shoe boxes. :)

I believe many other runners also either put their finisher medals in shoe boxes or some sort of storage areas or cabinet drawers.

There are also many race medal hangers for sale on the internet which one can order online. Race medal hangers are probably one of the best ways to proudly display the hard-earned medals. The only setback is perhaps the medals on the medal hanger might collect dust after a while.

Why this quote?

I dreamed many dreams.

And most of them were "dreamy" dreams! :)

But as the time goes by and the age catches up, I have less and less dreams.

Some dreams have died along the way.

Some dreams - I came to realized - that they would remain as wishful thinking.

Saucony Kinvara 6 - My Racing Shoe in 2016

After 3 full years (2013 - 2015) of wearing Skechers Performance Shoes (Skechers GOrun 1, Skechers GOrun 3, and Skechers GOmeb 3) to race in 15 full marathons, and 8 shorter races, it's quite a challenge for me to switch to another brand in 2016.

2013: Skechers GOrun 1 and GOrun 3

four full marathons, one 25 km race, one 16.8 km race, and two 10 km races

2014: Skechers GOrun 3

six full marathons and two half marathons

2015: Skechers GOmeb Speed 3

five full marathons, one half marathons and one 10 km triathlon event

2016: Skechers? Adidas? Saucony Kinvara? Newton? Asics? New Balance? Nike? Mizuno?

I have been to Taiwan few times, almost every 2 years. It's one of my most favorite countries to visit. And the thought of migrating there even occurred in my mind before. :) That shows how much I love Taiwan.

However, for Kaohsiung 高雄 and Kenting 垦丁, it was my first time to visit in February 2016.

During the 7D/6N stay, I ate many delicious Taiwanese dishes. (How could I resist? :)) However, during travel, I usually prefer street food.

As a first time visitor to Kaohsiung, Taiwan last month (Feb 2016), I was so impressed by how well the city planning is to cyclists.

It's truly an eco-friendly, environmental-friendly, cyclist-friendly, runner-friendly city of 2.779 million people!

The Kaohsiung streets are so so wide and clean!

And most of them are very straight, long and flat with proper bicycle lanes!
