The living volcano Mount Sakurajima was erupting with ashes intermittently during my day trip to Sakurajima Island. Since I read that the mini eruptions were a daily affair, and islanders were used to it, I also found myself pretty comfortable being near the living volcano. The scene was gorgeous especially in the late afternoon. With my feet soaking in the natural hot springs from the volcano, I was totally immersed in the nature beauty.
