It was interesting to take the local train from Kagoshima to Miyazaki. It was not frequent. And there was an earthquake and landslide the day before. I was grateful that train service had resumed on my travel day to Miyazaki. I think I was the only foreigner inside the local 2-coach train. The scenery was nonetheless very beautiful and serene, passing through coastal area with the ocean view, the forests and local villages. Train was slow but I enjoyed every moment of the slowness.
