The Kamo River (Kamogawa) is a scenic 31-kilometer waterway flowing through central Kyoto serving as a popular recreational hub for locals and tourists. As a runner, I ran 10 km along the Kamo River in Gion, seeing the beauty of nature on foot, and immersing myself in the local Japanese daily lifestyle.
